On Thursday morning, as part of their work for a class called "Storytelling and Stagecraft," Third Formers directed and performed a series of short plays, which addressed topics related to climate change, for their formmates.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Groton started with an all-school gathering in the Campbell Performing Arts Center (CPAC), where Sixth Former Edward Wilkey led a moderated discussion with the 2025 keynote speaker, Christopher Cooper, a lifelong birder, science and comics writer, the host and consulting producer of Extraordinary Birder on National Geographic, and the target during the Central Park birdwatching incident.

2025 Mudge Fellow Kristina Batiste—a Tacoma-based ceramics artist—opened her Brodigan Gallery exhibition, “even a woman or a slave,” this past weekend, followed by a week of hands-on studio time in the Dillon Art Center with students, which included drop-in workshops for anyone in the community and intensive collaborations with ceramics students.
On Saturday night, the Forum hosted Cultural Day! Students set up tables representing their many different cultures and enjoyed food, music, and games from around the world. At the end of the night, everyone learned new moves from the Boston Bollywood dance group.
On Monday, the Circle Voice student newspaper sponsored a workshop for students interested in learning how to write for a newspaper. During the hour-long session, CV Advisor Mr. Kerrigan covered journalism basics such as writing a strong lead, how to structure a story, and tips on interviewing. An introductory workshop on newspaper design is scheduled for later in the month.
